Springwood Primary School is a large Special School (340 pupils aged 4 – 11), which caters for pupils with moderate, severe and complex learning needs across three sites. Due to the retirement of our current post holder we are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, dedicated and flexible Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCo) who can inspire our pupils to reach their full potential.
Springwood Primary School is part of the LINK Education Trust. The LINK Education Trust is a Salford centric trust comprising of six primary schools located within the city of Salford.
The successful candidate needs to be confident working across a range of ability levels and age groups. They need to be able to work across all three sites. This is an exciting opportunity to join a large energetic school and be part of its future development.
We are looking for a candidate who:
- Can demonstrate excellent teaching skills with different age groups and ability ranges of pupils
- Is organised and self-driven and can demonstrate leadership beyond the classroom
- Is able to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of a wide range of additional needs including complex medical needs
- Supports the values and ethos of the school
- Can develop positive working relationships with parents, carers and professionals
