If you answered yes to these questions, then we have an exciting opportunity for you. We are looking for a Cyber Security Portfolio Lead to join our Digital, Data and Technology service, where you will be responsible for overseeing our Cyber Defence Centre. This comprises both the security and network operations centres and will jointly shape the architecture and future roadmaps of the enterprise architecture. We firmly believe that the Cyber Defense Centre oversees both Security and network compliance to create the single pain of glass that will protect the organisation.

 

As the Cyber Security Portfolio Lead, you will manage the entire cyber security project lifecycle and Network infrastructure (WAN/LAN), from initiation to completion, ensuring all initiatives are strategically aligned with business objectives. You will develop and maintain stakeholder engagement strategies and plans, facilitating open communication and providing effective business decision-making processes. You will also monitor the external environment to gather intelligence on emerging technologies, assessing impacts, threats, and opportunities to the organisation.

 

In addition, you will lead the design and delivery of comprehensive security training programs and initiatives to educate employees about information security best practices. You will design and manage security awareness campaigns and initiatives to promote a culture of security within the organisation. You will also lead the triage and investigation of security incidents, resourcing the wider team, and working with the Information Governance team to monitor, respond, and report on potential data breaches.

 

What you will do

To succeed in this role, you will need to have deep knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, information technology, networking, and cyber security principles. You will also need to have a track record of delivering all aspects of cyber security transformation, including technology, processes, and culture. You will have solid understanding of financial management principles and practices, as well as effective communication skills.

 

You will also have previous experience with the Microsoft Azure/M365 suite, security monitoring and incident response tools, networking protocols, firewalls, and intrusion detection/prevention systems. You will also have familiarity with security frameworks and compliance standards, such as NIST, ISO 27001, GDPR, and Mitre Attack Framework. Ideally, you will also have some relevant certifications, such as SSAP, CISSP, CISM, CISA, or CompTIA Security+.
