Safeguarding and Senior Mental Health Lead - Required – ASAP
Working Hours: Full Time, 36 hours per week
Grade/Salary: 4A, £35,889 to £38,744
Contract Type: Permanent, Term Time Only plus 10 days

The Governors, Head Teacher and Team Peel are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed Safeguarding and Senior Mental Health Lead to join our dynamic and diverse school. The successful applicant should be a highly organised individual to help create, maintain and manage a safe and inclusive learning environment for our pupils.
The successful candidate will be a committed team player with excellent organisational skills. You will have excellent understanding of child protection and safeguarding in education, behaviour management strategies and experience of successfully de-escalating potentially difficult situations and holding challenging and sensitive conversations with tact and compassion. The successful candidate should have previous practise of successfully building and managing a highly effective inclusion team that can help our school community to become the best that it can be. Prior experience of building relationships with stakeholders, particularly families is a must and there is an expectation that you will have the ability and skills to listen to their voice in a non-judgemental way, and support them with their emotional wellbeing. Knowledge of successful strategies to help pupils and families overcome barriers to attendance is also a necessity. In return, you will become a key member of our dynamic and highly effective team at the start of an exciting journey to make Peel Hall outstanding.
