The Governors, staff and children at Lewis Street Primary School wish to appoint an experienced and outstanding practitioner as Assistant Head Teacher for EYFS and Year 1 as part of the School and Partnership Leadership Team. All children deserve the very best and we are looking for an ambitious and energetic professional with a passion for teaching and learning who is committed to our school values of EXCELLENCE; RESPECT; CHALLENGE and SELF-BELIEF. We want someone who has leadership experience and is ready for this next step in their career. 

 

Purpose of the Job:   

 

To share in the leadership and management of the school and Partnership under the direction of the Executive Headteacher and the Head of School. This post includes a teaching commitment and the successful candidate will be required to lead EYFS and Year 1 in terms of teaching and learning, progress and attainment. 

 

The successful candidate will:

  •  Model excellent teaching and professional standards for the whole school community and that of our partner schools, Christ Church CE Primary and Lark Hill Primary 
  • Promote and model the schools’ values and vision including infusing honesty and integrity into all of school life
  • Develop high quality professional relationships with children, colleagues, parents/carers and Governors
  • Contribute to the continued development of an inspiring and inclusive culture across the school
  • Create a stimulating, supportive, organised, interactive and informative learning environment that encourages each child to achieve his/her full potential
  • Be able to play a motivational and leading role in school improvement and outcomes
  • Have outstanding interpersonal skills and resilience to manage change and improve outcomes for children.
