‘Chefs of the Future’ – Citywide Apprentice Assistant Cook 

 

Grade: SCC Apprentice

 Salary: £9,236 per annum, rising to £9,661 per annum in the 2nd year of apprenticeship

        (an additional 3 hours will be paid for study days at college)

Working Hours: 20 hours per week, term time only

Contract Type:  Fixed term (approximately 2 years) until completion of Chef Production Standards.

 Location: Salford

As Apprentice Assistant Cook with Citywide, this is a chance to make a positive impact on many young lives, every day in a school kitchen across Salford.

 

Our Apprentice Assistant Cooks are integral in supporting our school kitchens with delivering excellent food standards and service. Our kitchen’s are the perfect place to learn how to prepare and create some fantastic dishes.

Please be aware that this post is subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and that you will be required to meet the cost of the DBS check – currently £38.00.  The payment for this will be deducted from your first four months’ salary payments at a rate of £9.50 per month.  If you do not commence employment for any reason but the DBS has been processed, you will be sent an invoice for the payment of £38.00.
