User and Application Support Officer

Grade/Salary; 3B, £33,945 - £36,648

Hours; 36 per week (Full Time)

As a member of User Support, you will be the one who gets your hands in the mud and makes sure tickets are solved effectively. You will provide technical support and assistance to our customers, and you are responsible for addressing/resolving inquiries, problems, and issues efficiently and promptly. This is not your traditional front line service, this is Salford DDaT User Support here we deal with digital contact, you access all our operating and security platforms to resolve issues.

 

As a member of User support you are the front-line representative of the support team, serving as the primary point of contact between users and the organisation's DDaT services, you are the first and last point of contact and are responsible for the reputation of the service.

 

The Role

As a User & Application Support Officer, you'll have the exciting opportunity to provide top-notch, knowledgeable digital support to every employee in our organization. Working closely with both internal stakeholders and external partners, you'll be able to troubleshoot a wide range of hardware and software issues using a variety of methods, including telephone and face-to-face support. With your expertise in digital standards, you'll be able to confidently resolve any issue that comes your way. What's more, your strong communication skills will enable you to guide both technical and non-technical employees in implementing solutions that maintain productivity and support the deployment of hardware and software solutions across the city.
