Grade: MPS plus SEN 1 Allowance

Salary: Mainscale

Contract: Fixed Term for 12 months (Maternity Covers)

Working Hours: 32.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Part of the Chatsworth Multi Academy Trust, Chatsworth High School and Community College, is a progressive, vibrant and successful special school with students aged between 11 and 19 years. Our students present a broad range of learning needs including severe learning difficulties, profound and multiple learning difficulties and autism. 

 

We are looking to appoint two enthusiastic and dedicated Teachers on 12 month fixed term contracts, to cover teachers on maternity leave, who are able to support students with a broad range of special educational needs including autism, SLD, PMLD. The candidates will have pastoral responsibilities for a class group and will teach other pupils across the school. . 

 

The successful candidate will be:

  •  A dedicated and skilled professional with a clear pupil-centred focus
  •  Aspirational and highly committed to improving the learning attainments and lives of pupils with special educational needs including autism, SLD, PMLD
  •  Experienced in working with pupils with special educational needs including autism, SLD, PMLD and autism, some of whom may display challenging behaviour
  • Experienced in delivering a core subject to pupils with special educational needs including autism, SLD, PMLD 
  •  Able to provide pastoral support for a designated group of students
  •  A robust and resilient practitioner able to perform in a dynamic and challenging environment
