Elections Support Assistant
Grade:
2C - £21,589 - £23,836
Working Hours: 36 hours per week
Contract Type: Fixed Term until 02/10/2020

Salford City Council is looking for an enthusiastic democratic services assistant to join our busy
Electoral Services team.


Some of the key responsibilities include:
To provide an efficient clerical and administrative support function to the Electoral Services
Team. To use the electoral registration IT system to process applications for registration and
postal votes and assist in the preparation for all types of elections and referenda.

About you
This role will suit a focused, enthusiastic team player who enjoys a customer facing environment.

The ideal candidate will have:
• Ability to learn and adapt quickly to new procedures
• You'll have excellent administrative and computer skills and a high level of accuracy
• Flexibility and be able to work outside of normal office hours

This post will require some evening and weekend work — particularly leading up to an election —
so a flexible working approach is essential.
