Springwood is a large primary age Special School with currently 252 pupils on roll, rising to 300 next academic year. Pupils are aged 3-11, based over two sites (Swinton and Irlam). The school caters for pupils with moderate, severe and complex needs and also pupils on the Autistic Spectrum.
Springwood Primary School are seeking to employ an experienced Office Manager to ensure that all administration within the School based at Craig Hall runs efficiently and effectively and in parallel to the Swinton site.
An enthusiastic, organised and motivated person is required to manage a busy school office, including overseeing health and safety, supervision of support staff, and to work as PA to the Deputy Headteacher.
The job role will include:-
• Line Manager to the Administration Team, Welfare Assistants and Site Manager including appraisals.
• Supporting the Swinton Office Manager with the completion of PLASC using SIMS programme, school census and LA returns.
• Minute taking as and when required.
• Maintaining school database of CPD, training information.
• Maintain and update Single Central Record.
• Oversee maintenance of School Policies, including statutory policies.
The successful candidate will be expected to have:-
• Strong administrative skills.
• Team approach – ability to build effective working relationships.
• Previous experience as an office manager.
• Excellent accurate typing skills
• Experience of using a wide range of ICT software including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and SIMS.
