We are offering paid, 6-month placements to unemployed Salford young people aged between 16 – 24, who are claiming Universal Credit. These placements are based in Salford working for Salford City Council and Partners (please see the end of the advertisement to view our role).
Some roles will require an advanced DBS check/clearance which is fully funded.

Salford City Council
Learning Support Service Admin Assistant
To provide administration support to the Learning Support Service, for example booking candidates onto training, updating service website, retrieving caseloads from the electronic systems.
Administration Assistant (Safeguarding)
To provide administration support to the Safeguarding Cluster to be confirmed at time of placement due to service demand.
Property Information Officer
To provide support within the Property Information team to maintain and develop the computerised Land and Property ownership (Terrier) and Asset records.
LAC (Looked After Children) Service Admin Assistant
The service supports children and young people in the care of the council. This role is to provide support through minute taking (full training provided), updating data bases, signposting calls and carrying out additional statutory admin responsibilities.
Fostering Service Admin Assistant
To provide administration support to the fostering service, panel managers team and fostering admin team.
Customer Service Officer (Gateways)
To provide a face-to-face service for customers within one of our busy Gateways/Hub, which involves working as part of a team to deliver a range of services for Salford Council and partners.

Teaching Assistant
To work under the direct instruction of teaching/senior staff to support access to learning for pupils and provide general support to the teacher in the management of pupils and the classroom.
Admin Assistant
To assist in the running of the general office as one of the school’s main points of public contact, as well as the centre of daily administration. You will update the school website and create content for the social media accounts, as well as attending to school visitors.
Wellbeing Activities Facilitator
To work under the direction and supervision of teaching staff/senior staff to plan and deliver activities to undertake with pupils in the outdoor areas of the school grounds, with a particular focus on pupil wellbeing.
Caretaker
To work under the direction of the Site Manager/School Business Manager to carry out caretaking duties including, security, cleaning, maintenance, repairs and monitoring of the fabric of the building.
RHS Garden Bridgewater
Visitor Services Assistant
To provide high quality and efficient customer service. You will be involved in the welcoming and orientation of visitors. You will promote and sell the RHS membership, among other RHS offers.
EdStart Specialist Education
TA/Academic Learning Mentor
As a Teaching Assistant/Academic Learning Mentor you will help pupils overcome behavioural, social or emotional problems that are affecting their learning.
Administration Assistant
To provide excellent customer service both face to face and over the phone and assist with all day-to-day administration duties, including the maintenance of records and information systems.
Business Development Assistant
To provide support to our Marketing Consultant and contribute to digital marketing strategies, including management of social media accounts.

The Business Development Assistant placement will develop, coordinate and implement plans designed to increase existing business and capture new opportunities, as well as understand the company’s core values.
