Performing Arts Activator

Working Hours:  15 hours per week worked over 7 days. (Wherever possible, a 5 day week will be worked).  Actual hours will be determined by business activity but will include regular evenings and weekends, for which no enhancements will be paid.
Grade: 2 - £6,369 - £6,626
Contract Type: Fixed Term until 31st July 2020, term time only

We have an exciting position available for a Performing Arts Activator whose role is to increase participation in community youth theatre programmes and engage young people in Salford in the ‘Stage Directions’ programme. This role and project is funded by Arts Council England’s Performing Arts fund with Salford’s new Cultural Education Partnership.

This role will be based at various locations across Salford, as part of the Arts Development team. 

We are looking for someone who can: 
• Engage children and young people in community based, performing arts activities as part of Salford Cultural Education Partnership’s ‘Stage Directions’ programme. 
• Provide pastoral for children and young people who participate and liaise with parents/carers and specialist agencies, where appropriate.
• Consistently demonstrate SCL’s behaviours.
