Working Hours: Up to 36 hours per week, will vary based on need

Driver Grade: 2B, £10.63/hour

About us
Salford’s Waste Services team provide an essential service to the city and its residents. We have now identified the need to grow our team with Loaders and Drivers, to continue to provide a high level of service. These roles are essential and you will be classed as a key worker.
About you
You must be able to work effectively in a team environment and demonstrate effective communication skills as you will be dealing with a wide range of customers, including residents, businesses and community groups.
An essential element of the role is the ability to work in all weather conditions and be physically capable of walking for long periods of the working day. Ideally, you will also need your own pair of safety boots.
For the Driver position, you will need a clean LGV driving licence and a current CPC licence.
About the Loader role
Working inside the Waste Services Division of the Place Directorate, your main duties will include the collection of residual, recyclable and bio waste from highways, households, industrial and commercial premises, open land, rear passageways and empty properties.
About the Driver role
In addition to the above, you will drive and be responsible for all assigned vehicles.
