Exciting new opportunity to play a leading role in the administration of a pioneering physical activity programme supporting people affected by cancer

Salford Community Leisure are recruiting on behalf of the Association of Greater Manchester Leisure and Cultural Trusts (known as GM Active).

GM Active is a collective of 12 leisure and community organisations from across Greater Manchester that are all part of the same movement, to get more people physically active.

GM Active’s vision is for a network of innovative, responsive, resilient and high performing Greater Manchester Leisure and Cultural Trusts that deliver transformational health and wellbeing outcomes through collaboration across Greater Manchester’s communities.

GM Active are seeking an experienced and highly skilled administrator to support the delivery of an exciting and innovative programme we are co-delivering with GM Cancer launching in April 2019.

This role is a 6-month secondment opportunity available for current employees at GM Active Member organisations.

The Prehab4Cancer programme aims to instil physical activity prehabilitation and rehabilitation as standard elements within cancer care pathways with GM Active Member organisations providing access to supported physical activity. The programme is offering new prehab and rehab approaches to help people affected by cancer recover after surgery.

This is a fabulous opportunity to play a leading role in the administration of a game-changing pioneering pilot project which has the ambition to create world leading outcomes for people affected by cancer across Greater Manchester.

Receiving guidance and support from the Programme Manager, you will play an integral part of a small Prehab4Cancer team coordinating and providing administration to ensure high quality delivery and an excellent service to all participants.
