Head of Strategic Asset Management

Grade: Band F £64,522 - £69,145
Working Hours: 36 hours per week
Contract Type: Permanent

We are looking to appoint a dynamic senior leader to direct and drive the strategic management of the council’s property portfolio and the management of the Council’s investment and non-operational asset properties.

This is an excellent opportunity to shape the direction and effectiveness of the council’s strategic asset management plan; ensure we leverage our assets; provide robust integrated public services, working closely with Greater Manchester Combined Authority and a wide range of other public/ private sector partners to determine and deliver the best use of Council assets and the delivery of public sector services to best support ongoing change within the City and the needs of its citizens.

You will have extensive knowledge and experience and a demonstrable track record in dealing with complex strategic property portfolios and issues and the ability to maximise funding opportunities to assist in the delivery of the Councils objectives. You will be an excellent and proactive leader with demonstrable people management skills with the ability to think strategically and act practically and effectively with a wide range of stakeholders both internally and externally.

Qualifications
You will, ideally, be technically qualified to degree level and be professionally qualified from the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS- general Practice Division) or equivalent with an extensive practical application of knowledge post professional qualification.
