Technical Support Officer – Planning and Building Control
Working Hours: 36 hours per week
Grade: 2C £21,589 - £23,836
Contract Type: Permanent

About us
Urban Vision is a Joint Venture Partnership between Capita, Salford City Council and Galliford Try. We are based in Swinton, within the Salford district of Greater Manchester employing approximately 360 staff in a wide range of integrated professional support services solutions. Capabilities include a full range of property surveying and management disciplines, full design and cost control services, extensive highways and civil engineering design capability plus town planning, development control and policy services.

Our key client is Salford City Council although we have expanded our client base to a number of other clients and commissions both within the North West and nationally.

We currently have an exciting vacancy within our team to enable us to continue to build on our success and also bring new experience, knowledge and ideas into the team.

About the role
As a Technical Support Officer you will provide valuable administrative support to the Planning and Building Control Teams. You will deal with a range of complex cases including major planning applications and appeals. You will be responsible for the registration and validation of planning and building control applications, working closely with colleagues to support the delivery of our efficient planning and building control service.
