Assistant Educational Psychologist
Working Hours: 36 hours per week
Salary: £28,783 to £32,303 per annum (Soulbury Assistant Educational Psychologist Scale 1-4) 
Contract Type: Fixed term, to 31.08.2020

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a team of Educational Psychologists. You will assist Salford City Council Educational Psychology Service in the delivery of psychological intervention and monitoring for vulnerable children and young people.

This work will involve assisting in the development and delivery of a range of services and interventions including:
•Training and development work
•Group work with children and young people
•One to one mentoring/therapeutic work with children and young people
•Evaluation of service delivery
•Auditing of files
•Preparation of training and support materials
•Information gathering on behalf of a psychologist to support SEN processes
•Administration
•Project work

The service is partnered with the Tameside Psychology Service and there may be development opportunities across both services.

Requirements of the post:
•Registered with the British Psychological Society (Graduate basis for registration or Chartership - GBR/GBC)
•Psychology Degree - at least Upper Second class honours - 2:1
•Relevant experience of working with children in family homes, educational / clinical or community settings to promote children’s well-being and progress
•Evidence of using psychological understanding and approaches to support practice
•Driving licence and own transport or ability to travel both within and outside Salford in order to complete duties.
