Project Support Apprentice - Skills and Work Team

Working hours: 36 hours per week
Grade: Apprentice, £15,410, rising to £16,893 after 12 months
Contract type: Fixed term to April 2021

An opportunity has arisen within the Skills and Work Team for a Project Support Apprentice. 

The post holder will be responsible for supporting the work of the Skills and Work Commissioning Team in order to contribute to the delivery of the Salford Employment and Skills Strategy for both young people and adults, whilst working towards a Level 3 Business Administration qualification. 

Specific activity will include the collection of schools data to facilitate statutory returns, the analysis of monitoring and performance data to support the delivery of learning, skills and work projects and programmes, providing operational support to the Salford Skills and Work Board and Youth Employment Partnership and supporting team communications, both internally and externally.

Applicants will need to demonstrate strong personal skills, experience of organising and supporting events, ability to collect and handle data sensitively, produce high quality reports and presentations and experience of using Microsoft Office packages and content management systems.

About the Apprenticeship Course
The Level 3 Business Administration Apprenticeship is designed to develop your knowledge in office administration, customer handling and technical and practical skills. The apprenticeship builds in skills such as communication, team working, interpersonal skills and the ability to reflect on personal learning.

The apprenticeship will be delivered entirely in the workplace. You will be assigned a workplace learning coach who will support you to develop a work-based portfolio via e-learning, mentoring and learning support.
