A number of opportunities have arisen within Adult Services Finance and we are looking to recruit to roles within our Charging Policy and Financial Assessments Team. We are looking for a number of enthusiastic and committed individuals who would like to join us.

You should ideally have experience of working in a busy office environment and will possess excellent communication and organisational skills and possess a real commitment to excellent service delivery - you must be able to apply tact and diplomacy at all times. You must also be capable of working to tight deadlines whilst ensuring consistency and accuracy, be able to prioritise workloads and work on your own initiative as well as under supervision.

You will possess a positive, enthusiastic and energetic approach to work along with an acceptance of work flexibility and being open to and contributing to change.

You will report to the Senior Finance Officer and provide support to colleagues within your immediate team and the wider organisation. You will be required to undertake work around Charging Policy and Financial Assessments.

The post holder will work as part of a team to provide details of charges for home, residential and nursing care within Adult Social Services and your work will include:

  • Calculation of charges for service users in residential placements/nursing care
  • Process charges for home care following charging assessment
  • Setup payment methods to recover charges, either by standing order or invoice
  • Finalise cases on death, discharge or upon termination of care
  • Carry out annual reassessment of residential placement charges
  • Provide advice and deal with any queries regarding financial assessments

We have 2 x full time permanent & 1 x full time fixed term 12 months roles available. You will work 37.5 hours each week from Monday to Friday.

The trust operates a flexible working policy and the teams core business hours are from 08:30 to 16:30.
