As a growing city, demand for housing in Salford is increasing whilst homeless presentations continue to rise. Salford City Council is working hard with partners to deliver good quality, affordable housing within the city and we are looking for a talented and hardworking individual to join the team at this exciting and challenging time.

If not already obtained, we will offer you the opportunity to study towards a CIPFA qualification during your time with us. You will work closely with the strategic finance leads for housing and homelessness to ensure efficient and robust financial reporting arrangements are in place for the service. Furthermore, you will lead on the costing of bespoke housing projects, identifying borrowing requirements, break-even points and analysing the impact on the long term housing revenue account business plan as well as the council’s housing strategy.
