Catering Assistant - Apprentice
Starting Salary: £6,732 per annum (rising to £7,180 after 12 months)
Grade: Apprentice
Working Hours: 17.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday), term time only
Contract Type: Fixed term for 2 years

You will be well presented and be able to uphold a high level of both operational and personal hygiene and be committed to providing an outstanding catering service to our school community.

As a Catering Assistant - Apprentice you will work under the direction of the Cook Supervisor to provide a wide range of duties. Your overall duty will be to undertake the preparation, simple cooking, serving of meals and other general duties such as cleaning, washing up, and storage.

About your development
Full training will be provided for this role and you will complete a Level 2 Production Chef course and hygiene certificate to support you in learning to provide a quality catering service within our school. You will be overseen by an experienced tutor alongside the Cook Supervisor.
Every second Monday you will be required to attend Salford College from 09:30 until approximately 3pm.
There will be the potential for a permanent post after the successful completion of the apprenticeship
