Are you an experienced, highly skilled and ambitious teacher who is ready to develop your career? We are looking for a hard working and committed teacher to lead the teaching and learning of Maths in our school. In addition to the responsibilities of class teacher the role of Maths subject lead includes-

• Keeping abreast of curriculum developments ensuring you disseminate, support and monitor best practice across the school and in doing so ensuring our resources are up-to-date and relevant.
• Monitoring and evaluating the quality of teaching and learning in Maths across the school, using a variety of methods including target setting, data analysis and tracking, observing lessons, monitoring plans and books, learning walks and speaking to children about their learning.
• Leading, developing and enhancing the teaching practice of others by providing an excellent role model for pupils and for staff and by classroom practice that sets a standard for other teachers to emulate.
• Leading staff in planning, teaching and evaluation of teaching to raise standards – both formally and informally.

We can offer-

• Happy, friendly children who enjoy coming to school.
• A welcoming and supportive staff team.
• A whole school ethos with raising aspirations at its heart.
• A strong commitment to continuing professional development.
• The chance to make a difference to the lives of young people.
• The chance to lead.

In your application you must be able to demonstrate/evidence-

• The quality of your teaching and its impact on pupil progress.

• Your ability to inspire and motivate learners.
• Your high expectations of pupil behaviour.
• A commitment to making a positive contribution to the wider life of school including subject leadership so far.

The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. An enhanced DBS disclosure will be required.
