Welfare Assistant 
Grade: 1A, £3,507 - £3,577
Working hours: 7.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 11:30 am - 1:00 pm, to be confirmed), Term Time Only
Contract type: Permanent

North Walkden Primary School is looking to appoint a Welfare Assistant to supervise pupils during the midday break either in the school grounds or in the school premises i.e. during the time when pupils are taking their meal or if the pupils are unable to use the school grounds because of inclement weather.  

Previous experience of working with children is preferred, evidence of excellent practices on managing behavior through leading by example, modelling expected behavior and being proactive with encouraging constructive playtime activities.  Current Safeguarding training or evidence of awareness of safeguarding children’s welfare is also a preference.

We are fully committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, younger learners and vulnerable adults and we expect all staff and volunteers to share the same commitment. The above post will be subject to enhanced DBS checks and satisfactory references.
