To enable us to continue supporting our communities and deliver an excellent service, we are building capacity to help us with our response and local outbreak management plans. We currently have a number of exciting vacancies to enable us to continue to build on our success to date and also bring new experience, knowledge and ideas into the team.
We will be operating over 7-days to ensure that our response is timely and we can move swiftly to contain any outbreaks. As a result we really can be flexible to fit around you and your other commitments – if you can only work weekends that’s fine, or if you are only available early evening that’s ok too and we also need people throughout the normal working week but hours of work are flexible.
For some of the roles much of the work can be done from home so you don’t have to travel to Salford and we will provide you with the technology that you need to enable you to do so.
We have a range of opportunities to join this exciting and fast-moving project for 12 months, in the first instance, which offers great scope for personal and professional development in these areas.

Environmental Health Officers – up to £38,813.04 (full time salary) £20.68 per hour
As a professionally qualified or registered officer (see role profile for specific qualifications) you will support with contact tracing, outbreak consequence management and enforcement, the investigation of health and safety matters and assisting colleagues in the Health Protection team. You will need to have a detailed knowledge of coronavirus legislation and guidance, as well as experience in food safety; infectious disease control and/or health and safety and enforcement; reviewing risk assessments, and auditing/inspecting premises and processes to ensure compliance.

Infection and Prevention Control Nurses – up to £32,029 (full time salary) £17.06 per hour
As a professionally qualified or clinically experienced nurse you will provide telephone advice to people who have had contact with confirmed or suspected cases. This includes gathering personal medical history data and providing coronavirus and isolation advice; and working with the wider Public Health team on consequence management, gathering data and providing advice on outbreak management in a setting.
