About us
This is an exciting opportunity to join Salford City Council and support the transformation of our services. We are constantly changing with emerging trends and have ambitious plans for our modern global city, where our workforce collectively makes a real difference to the lives of local people. We currently have 2 exciting vacancies within our Data, Digital and Technology (DDaT) team to enable us to continue to build on our success and bring new experience, knowledge and ideas into the team.

About you
Your style and approach will reflect our values. You will have a genuine passion for all things digital and take pride in working side by side with stakeholders, customers and employees. People will always be at the forefront of what you do, ensuring that everything you produce is as user friendly as possible. All the while taking personal responsibility for your output individually and part of the wider team.

About the roles
We are looking for two experienced Business Analysts to join the Delivery Function within the Data, Digital and Technology (DDaT) function during a period of organisational transformation and change. Our DDaT service supports and enables services to transform how they work and meet the needs of their users. Our work is user-focused and forward-looking, making our organisation an exciting and innovative place to work.

Your work will initially help transform three teams within our Place Directorate. Experience of transforming services within local government, combined with an understanding of emerging trends and challenges will be considered highly desirable.

You will be experienced in mapping and analysing existing business processes, identifying opportunities for improvement and making recommendations for change. This will enable us to re-engineer our systems and processes, in order to deliver class leading services and experiences for the people of Salford.

The roles will involve all aspects of analytical support to project management and leadership teams where appropriate. Information must be presented in user friendly and engaging ways. You will work both individually and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.

The roles involve initiating, formulating and presenting recommendations based on analysis in order to influence the decisions made by the Project Management and/or Product owners.

If you do not meet all the requirements for this role, we would still like to hear from you.

We look forward to hearing from you!
Please submit an application with your CV and a cover letter, summarising why you think you would be a great addition to our team.

We welcome applications from those seeking part-time or flexible working hours.
