Complex Case Officer
Working Hours: 36 hours per week, term time only plus two weeks
Grade: 3B £22,845 - £25,077
Contract Type: Permanent
The School Admissions team is responsible for allocating all
school places for schools in Salford for
nursery, reception and secondary schools. The team also provides advice and information to school and LA staff.
As a core member of the School Admissions team you will work
closely with parents, head teachers, school staff and other professionals to
process school applications, and provide advice on admissions processes.
The Complex Case Officer will have responsibility for in-year
school admissions that are complex in nature. You will be expected to establish good working relationships with
schools and professional colleagues in order to secure an appropriate placement
for these children in a timely manner.
You will also advocate for parents/carers and young people
as part of the managed move process. You
will be responsible for determining whether such a move is appropriate and
provide challenge to schools where it is not.
Taking a multi-agency approach you will advocate for young
people who are at risk of educational neglect and work alongside colleagues to
ensure they access an appropriate education.
We are looking for a self-motivated, enthusiastic and
organised person to join our team. The
successful candidate will be a creative thinker, able to work on their own
initiative and be able to provide challenge where necessary.
For more information or an
informal discussion please contact Helen Nicolle, School Admissions Service
Manager on 0161 778 0411.
