Complex Case Officer
Working Hours:
36 hours per week, term time only plus two weeks 
Grade: 3B £22,845 - £25,077
Contract Type: Permanent

The School Admissions team is responsible for allocating all school places for schools in Salford for nursery, reception and secondary schools. The team also provides advice and information to school and LA staff.   

As a core member of the School Admissions team you will work closely with parents, head teachers, school staff and other professionals to process school applications, and provide advice on admissions processes.    

The Complex Case Officer will have responsibility for in-year school admissions that are complex in nature. You will be expected to establish good working relationships with schools and professional colleagues in order to secure an appropriate placement for these children in a timely manner.   

You will also advocate for parents/carers and young people as part of the managed move process. You will be responsible for determining whether such a move is appropriate and provide challenge to schools where it is not.   

Taking a multi-agency approach you will advocate for young people who are at risk of educational neglect and work alongside colleagues to ensure they access an appropriate education.   

We are looking for a self-motivated, enthusiastic and organised person to join our team. The successful candidate will be a creative thinker, able to work on their own initiative and be able to provide challenge where necessary.

The payment for this will be deducted from your first four months’ salary payments at a rate of £11.00 per month.
