About us
Salford is a dynamic city and we pride ourselves on putting people at the heart of everything we do. One of our main priorities is to transform the city into a place that can really support its residents.

Here at Salford City Council we are a people centred and values-based organisation - Salford really is a great place to work. We have a positive permission culture across the organisation, embrace innovation and encourage development.

We have been recognised by the MJ Achievement Awards, making their shortlist for 2020 Local Authority of the Year!

Our response to Covid19
Salford’s response to the pandemic has been a fantastic effort as all services across the organisation have worked together to tackle this health crisis. It really has been a team effort and our wonderful employees have worked incredibly hard, with our values always in the forefront of their mind. We are so proud of the #TeamSalford effort.

We continue to demonstrate the Spirit of Salford, working with our partners across health, social care and voluntary to lead the city’s response.

Our Local Outbreak Management Plan sets out how we continue to work alongside one another to prevent, contain and limit the spread of the virus in the city and to support our residents and local businesses.

Along with our test, track and trace response our current focus is building on our current approaches to ensure maximum efficiency and effectiveness, to develop our local mass testing and to ensure our communities across the city continue to be engaged with.
