Salford Learning Support Service is seeking to recruit a talented Teaching Assistant to join our peripatetic Hearing Impairment Team. This is an exciting opportunity to join our service of teachers, teaching assistants, and associated health professionals who support learners with hearing impairments across the City. Salford is committed to improving the outcomes of deaf and hearing impaired children through work with children, families, Early Years settings, schools and colleges.
The successful candidate will be expected to work with a fluctuating caseload across Salford, offering in-class, one-to-one and on-line support across a range of ages and schools. The successful candidate will join a team of highly motivated and experienced professionals dedicated to providing excellent support to children, young people and schools.
Applications are welcome from Teaching Assistants who hold an NVQ level 3 qualification or equivalent.

Please be aware that this post is subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and that you will be required to meet the cost of the DBS check – currently £44.00. The payment for this will be deducted from your first four months’ salary payments at a rate of £11.00 per month. If you do not commence employment for any reason but the DBS has been processed, you will be sent an invoice for the payment of £44.00.
