About you

You will be passionate about place making and adding value to proposals to secure high quality sustainable development and will be able to prioritise and manage a challenging and complex caseload of often high-profile developments. You will have an excellent level of technical knowledge and understanding of current and emerging planning legislation and will possess the ability to communicate effectively at all levels, be well organised, efficient and have a positive attitude.
Ideally you will have professional membership of the RICS however candidates without RICS accreditation may also be considered should a suitably strong and comprehensive track record be demonstrated.
About the role
We are looking for a dynamic, driven, outcome focused individual that will make a positive contribution to our inclusive economic growth agenda, driving change through the effective and pro-active use of land and property assets and positive relationships with key stakeholders.
As Assistant Principal Development Surveyor you will have the ability to undertake the valuation, negotiation, acquisition and disposal of all types of land and property assets from inception through to completion, working and collaborating with a range of key stakeholder to secure successful project outcomes.
You will produce and present concise, accurate, robust and timely reports to the city council and other key clients to enable fully informed property decisions to be taken.
You will make a positive contribution towards the City Council’s Great 8 priorities such as improving the Housing offer, having a Social Impact, driving Economic Development and will recognise and embed these strategic drivers in the delivery of an effective professional property service.
