Commissioning Officer - Skills and Work
Grade: 3C £29,636 - £32,029 
Working Hours: 36 hours per week
Contract: Permanent

An opportunity has arisen within the Skills and Work Team for a Commissioning Officer post.

The post holder will be responsible for supporting the strategic commissioning of services and activity to support the delivery of Salford’s Employment and Skills Strategy. Specific activity will include supporting joint commissioning arrangements and the partnership delivery of work and skills outcomes for young people and adults in Salford, set within the context of policy and practice at a national and Greater Manchester level. The role will also involve supporting the development, procurement and monitoring of local services and on occasions, getting involved in the direct delivery of services.

Applicants will need to demonstrate a proven ability in the development, commissioning, implementation and monitoring of services, have strong inter - personnel and partnership working skills, are able to respond positively to changing circumstances and have a knowledge of the learning, skills and work system.
