Working Hours:32.5 hours per week
Grade:2C £16,492 - £18,208
Contract Type: Fixed Term until 26.06.2020

A teaching assistant (level 3) with the skills and expertise in supporting mainstream schools to meet the additional needs of pupils who have:

• English as an Additional Language (EAL)
• Gypsy Roma Traveller heritage (GRT)
• Asylum or refugee status

This is an exciting opportunity to join a team of teachers and teaching assistants who are supporting these ethnic minority children across the full age and ability range across the City. Teaching assistants in this service will be key professionals within the local authority, supporting the children directly in the schools. Applicants would need to demonstrate expertise in current support and learning strategies to ensure the best possible outcomes for EAL, GRT and asylum and refugee children.
