Working hours: 36 hours per week (full time) 2 days - 8:30am - 4:30pm (part time)
Contract type: Fixed term until 31st March 2023

An exciting secondment opportunity for 2 Assessment Advisers has become available within the Salford Assist Team offering short term support and advice to people who are in crisis, emergency or disaster situations. The role involves undertaking an assessment and evaluation of applications to the scheme, ensuring criteria is applied at all times.  

This is an extremely busy role and there is an expectation that the successful candidates are able to manage their own workload and yet work as part of a team, to ensure all the responsibilities and deadlines in relation to supporting the service are considered and acted upon within agreed timescales.   

Candidates must be able to demonstrate how they meet the following necessary requirements of the post in order to be shortlisted for interview:
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.        
  • Possess ability to work under pressure and show flexibility in order to meet the needs of the service.
  • Excellent organisational skills including the ability to manage your own workload and meet tight deadlines.
  • Possess a good understanding of the concept of positive team working and able to develop and maintain positive working relationships with the teams and partner organisations.    
  • Excellent customer care skills.
  • Experience in Microsoft packages and ability to learn new databases.
