Partnership Support Officer

Grade: 2B £19,945 - £21,589
Working Hours: 36 hours per week
Contract Type: Fixed term 12 months

The role
Salford is going through a period of significant growth and change and you will be joining us at an exciting time as we drive forward delivery of the City Mayor’s ambitious set of priorities – The Great Eight.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for the position of Partnership Support Officer based within the Policy and Partnerships Team. The post holder will play an important role in providing effective administrative and business support on behalf of the team and Salford’s wider strategic partnerships.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Organising meetings, preparing agendas and producing high quality minutes within agreed timescales.
• Protecting and maintaining public safety through administration of the council’s emergency planning processes.
• Assisting in the delivery and promotion of equality and cohesion related initiatives.
• Contributing to the delivery of a broad range of projects relating to city council and partnership priorities.
• The post-holder will also be supported to develop knowledge in different policy areas as part of your personal professional development.

About you

The successful candidates will have:

• Good written and verbal communication skills, with previous experience in a similar role desirable, but not essential.
• Highly organised and able to work to deadlines.
• Ability to ensure reliable, accurate and timely information is available at all times to inform decision making.
• An ability to build and maintain strong relationships with colleagues and key partners.
• Excellent Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel and Outlook).
• Personally embrace the Council’s values of Pride, Passion, People and Personal Responsibility, and embodies these values in everything you do. .

The post will be based within the Policy and Partnerships Team to draw on support from the wider team, but will also report directly and receive support from the Head of Community Safety in a matrix management arrangement.
