Salford’s Local Authority Nurseries have a range of, Full and Part Time positions available at various locations across Salford.

We offer high quality, outstanding childcare places, all year round, at our five Nurseries within Salford. Our nurseries are located in Barton Moss, Belvedere, Higher Broughton, Little Hulton and Winton.

The nurseries operate a number of shift patterns and are open all year round between the hours of 08.00 -18.00.

We are looking for qualified and experienced Early Years Educators/Nursery Practitioners who are motivated, enthusiastic and have a passion to work with children between birth and 5 year’s old.

You will be expected to promote an inclusive environment that is warm and welcoming in order to encourage the development of children to ensure they reach their full potential. You will Implement the Early Years Foundation Stage and contribute to development of plans to support the delivery of individual learning programmes for children.

You will receive a full and comprehensive induction across all our sites along with access to the Starting Life Well training programme through which you will be supported to achieve a Paediatric First Aid Qualification within three months of starting with us. We offer competitive rates of pay and reward along with a standard full time working week of 36 hours, competitive contributory pension, and a generous annual leave allowance. We are passionate about the health and wellbeing of our workforce and we have a number of initiatives in place to support you.

Although day to day you will be based in one of our nurseries please bear in mind that, occasionally, based on business needs, you may be asked to provide cover at other nurseries.
