Workshop supervisor
Working Hours: 36 hours per week
Grade: 3B, £26,999 - £29,636, + 14% Shift Pay, Tool Allowance and HGV Driving license allowance

Vehicle Management Service is in charge of the City Council Fleet Management and Maintenance Service, and manages the City Council’s Operating License.

You need to be organised, have good written and oral communication skills, and good customer care skills. You will hold a current driving licence and you must be trained/qualified to NVQ level 3 (minimum) and/or City & Guilds (or equivalent) in Vehicle Maintenance/Repair.

Being a VOSA approved MOT tester for classes of IV, V, VII is desirable. 

About the role
This is an opportunity based in the workshop at Turnpike Depot for an enthusiastic and talented Workshop Supervisor. You will have the drive to keep our Transport on the move, and enhance your skills, supervise a skilled workforce and undertake maintenance to our fleet of HGV, light vehicles and specialised equipment. In addition you will have the responsibility to undertake MOT testing for the City Council vehicles, private customers and Taxi vehicles both Private Hire and Hackney.

The role requires the undertaking of shifts for which there is shift pay allowance.
