Apprentice Site Officer  
Starting Salary: £13,639 per annum (rising to £14,547 after 12 months)
Grade: Apprentice
Working Hours: 30 hours per week (Monday to Friday)
Contract Type: Fixed term for 18 months
Closing Date: 14th December 2020, 12 noon

About You
You will be flexible in your approach to work and be prepared to work both inside and outdoors.

You will be confident to work on your own initiative, take a pride in your work, getting things right first time and learn from when things do go wrong.  You will enjoy taking personal responsibility to resolve issues and change what you do and how you do it to make a difference.

You will have good attention to detail and good customer service skills and the ability to perform a varied role and adapt easily to change.

If any of the below apply, we would love to hear from you:
• Have experience in any of the following areas; security, maintenance, engineering, cleaning, post-room services or portering.
• If you have previous experience as a caretaker, handyman, gardener, carpenter, painter, decorator, plumber, electrician, mechanic or refuse collector.
• Have a desire for a varied and ‘hands on’ role working within a practical environment 

About the role
We have one Fixed Term Contract available

As an apprentice Site Officer you will work under the direction of the Site Managers and to provide a wide range of duties. Your overall duty will be to ensure the safe and efficient operation of our school.

Full training will be provided for this role and within the first 18 months you will complete a Facilities Services Operative course to support you in learning to provide facilities services support to our customers. You will be overseen by an experienced Tutor alongside the Site  Manager. At the end of the course you will receive professional recognition as an associate member of the Institute of Workplace and Facilities Management. 

The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.  This post is subject to a fully enhanced DBS check.
